The spacious store on County Road 39A has more than 10,000 carpet samples in the showroom catering to customers who have homes and businesses on the East End as well as in the New York City with one of the largest selections of area rugs and floor coverings in the country.

The Carpetman is a must stop for over 160 decorators and designers intent on finding just the right floor covering for their clients.

The Carpetman has endured and is thriving as a second generation Mom and Pop business. Robert, the current owner believes that the secret to success is all about the service, along with expert product knowledge and experienced installers which equals satisfied customers.

Our displays are eye-catching and well arranged with this user-friendly atmosphere where area rugs have come to rule the day as homeowners increasingly turn to floor coverings that enhance their hardwood floors This is why "The Carpetman" has one of the only in- house sewing rooms in the country. This enables us to apply any fabric by hand or machine to any floor covering. Since the early 80's, we have been one of the leaders in the sale and promotion of natural floor covering products, not only are we skilled and competent in installing products such as Sisal, wall to wall, but we are the Go To Company . This explains the reason why we are one of the largest users of bindings and maintain at least 20-30 rolls of Sisal's and Seagrass at all times.

 With over 16,000 Square Feet of showroom space, we are able to show over 500 Wool & Nylon Remnant Collections at all times. We also have the largest collections of wood and laminate sample displays on the East Coast This means we have tremendous buying power when it comes to hard wood flooring- laminate & linoleum, this savings is passed directly to our customers.

We are proud to have recently opened up our new front showroom, which is completely dedicated to showing hundreds of the world’s finest area rugs. The Carpetman has been making custom area rugs for over 30 years. We specialize in creating one of a kind hand knotted Tibetan wool & silk rugs, which we can make any size, even up to a 40’ x 80’!

 To give our customer a complete flooring experience we have our own Carpet Cleaning Division, which offers our customers the most reasonable and affordable way to maintain their carpet & upholstery.

 

The final service we are proud to offer is window treatments , in which we have partnered with Hunter Douglas Window Fashions and through our decorators and designers, we have developed one of the most complete lines of Window Treatments of the east end.
